About the Position
After profitably scaling our DTC business past €200M,, HOLY has successfully entered the retail space — launching in over 5,000+ doors across Germany and Austria. Now, we’re ready to level up.

As Head of Trade Marketing, you’ll take full ownership of how HOLY shows up in-store across key markets. From disruptive launches to high-velocity promos and POS activations, you’ll be the engine that drives conversion, shopper love, and commercial impact in retail.

This is a strategic role with leadership impact — perfect for a visionary who wants to be part of one of Europe's most disruptive beverage brands that dominate both digital and physical shelves as we challenge industry giants.

Responsibilities:

  • Trade Marketing Strategy Ownership across Germany, Austria and the UK — translating brand strategy into disruptive, localised sell-in/sell-out concepts.
  • Team Leadership of Trade Marketing Managers and external partners; driving executional excellence and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration (Sales, Brand, Supply Chain).
  • Scalable Activation Playbook Development including promo mechanics, modular POS materials, and a repeatable approach to new launches (e.g. Ice Tea, Limited Editions, UK roll-out).
  • Category Penetration Maximization through collaboration with key accounts and field sales to improve shelf presence, secondary placement, and in-store theatre.
  • Budget Management for promo & retail media per market and channel; ensuring trade marketing effectiveness and high ROI across touchpoints.
  • Sales Partnership Excellence through compelling toolkits and presentations, establishing a repeatable best-in-class launch playbook.
  • Data-Driven Performance Optimization through analysis of campaign and promo performance (retail media, rotation, ROI) and strategic adjustments.
About You
  • Proven leadership in Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, or Retail Marketing within the FMCG space (ideally food or beverage).
  • Strong background in omnichannel environments, collaborating with national retailers and field sales, as well as across brand or performance marketing teams.
  • Hands-on builder mentality with a sharp eye for detail and excellence in execution.
  • Deep understanding of shopper psychology and category dynamics — with the ability to win both hearts and shelf space.
  • Strategic mindset combined with pragmatic execution — capable of zooming out to design systems and zooming in to make a display stand out.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.

The Process
We’re growing fast—and we’re ready for you to start as soon as possible. That said, we’re also patient enough to wait for the right person. Quality beats speed.

  1. Intro Call: A 30-minute screening with Luca, our Talent Partner. You’ll talk about HOLY, the role, your experience, and whether our expectations align.
  2. Hiring Manager Interview: You’ll meet Ben, our Director of Retail.
  3. Case Study & On-Site Interview: Once the first interviews go well, you’ll receive a short case study to complete at home and come into our Berlin HQ to discuss it. You’ll also meet your team.
  4. Founder Interview with Matze: As a strong cultural fit is important to us, you will have a final meeting with Matze , one of our HOLY Founders. This gives both you and us the opportunity for a final check.
  5. Offer & Decision: If everything aligns, we’ll make you an offer and look forward to building HOLY together.
